Bottomfish Project - Surveys

In an initial effort to collect historical anecdotal information about bottomfish landings and habitat in Whatcom County, the MRC bottomfish subcommittee developed a survey for local recreational and commercial fishers. Approximately ten local fishers were interviewed to help the committee identify some areas where bottomfish have been found in Whatcom County over the years. If you you’d like to share information with the MRC about places you’ve found bottomfish, please complete the survey questions and return them to:

Community knowledge of bottomfish habitat in Whatcom County waters was further explored through a series of three community workshops in February 2003. These workshops are described below.
