Bottomfish Project - Bottomfish Brochure and Factsheets

Bottomfish are a group of marine fish that have received far less local attention than other marine fish, such as salmon and herring. The Marine Resources Committee worked with the People for Puget Sound to develop a brochure describing bottomfish as a whole and three fact sheets focusing on specific species of bottomfish. The bottomfish brochure describes bottomfish found in Whatcom County and some of the pressures on bottomfish populations. These brochures are available through Whatcom County Water Resources Division. The three fact sheets focus on sole and flounder, rockfish, and lingcod.
